I heart time with friends.

The inclusion of blustery winter weather on a weekend get away to our friends beach house provided the perfect opportunity for a little pottery painting.

In hopes for a lazy afternoon, I had prepacked a few bisque plates along with my pottery painting supplies.  All it took to get the girls motivated was a brisk walk beside the ocean along with the promise of a cosmopolitan made by my husband.

A roaring fire added an element of 1960's warmth to our groovy little party.

Once home the plates were glazed and fired.  They came out of my kiln this morning and are ready to be filled with sweet little treats.

A weekend vacation, good friends and a warm fire are memories held within each painted heart.
