During a recent art class we were asked to create a pastel drawing from a still life item or photograph. My drawing was based on an image I had taken of my husbands photo worthy mint julep.
It has been a long time since I've worked with oil pastels so I'm still trying to get the layers correct without overworking the composition. This problem along with my chosen subject make it quite appropriate to use one of my art teachers' quotes ~ "To leave the party while the memories are still good." I'm hoping I can follow his artistic words of wisdom.
