Girls gone bad

Look what college has done to my sweet daughter and her good friend!
Too much homework and not enough sleep?
Or early morning crew practice - or just a creative mom who is decorating for Halloween?  Let's stick with the last one!

HOW TO CREATE A HAUNTED IMAGE:
Here are the steps I took to makeover these two beautiful girls, just in case you'd like to try this with a photograph of your family.   I uploaded their photo onto  Picmonkey a free online photo shop. Once on the site these are the steps that were used to recreate their image into a somewhat haunted portrait:  (1) click on Effects, the second icon on the left side (2) scroll down to black and white, click and apply  (3) scroll further down to Posterize - play with the details until you like the look and apply (4) On the left side, click on the new pumpkin icon to go into features.  I went into "Vampires" and applied the evil eyes, fangs and Dracula dusk  (5) If you want to frame your image, click on the square frame on the left side, apply the frame of your choice then save the whole image.  Once the recreated image is perfect save it.

I USED THIS SAME PROCESS TWO YEARS AGO TO RECREATE MY FAMILY PORTRAIT.
I loved this image so much, I took it to Kinko's, had them blow it up into a 22x36 inch poster size print on paper, and painted over the print with acrylic paint.  The portrait now hangs above our fireplace during the Halloween season.   Click here for the follow along directions - just apply the Picmonkey features in place of Picnic.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN SEASON!
