Pink Martini, Shaken Not Stirred
Now that spring has arrived I figured it was time to shake off the winter doldrums and stir up a seasonal image. The colors in this painting bring back memories of summer sunsets, and luscious green grass. Hmmm....I can almost hear crickets chirping, and bees buzzing.
If you're in the mood to raise a toast to spring, try this Cosmopolitan Recipe:
1 1/2 cups cracked ice or 6 ice cubes
1 1/2 ounces vodka
1/2 ounce Triple Sec
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar syrup
Big splash of cranberry juice
Lime wedge for garnish
Fill a cocktail shaker with the ice and add all the ingredients except the lime wedge. Shake vigorously to blend and chill. Strain the mixture into a martini glass. Lightly squeeze the lime wedge over the drink and drop it into the glass to garnish.
Cheers to warm spring breezes and beautiful sunsets.
