Surfs Up At the Beach

This past week I didn't have an art camp so I was able to spend a good portion of time in the studio creating some new works of art. I finished two canvas' for "Rock 'N Surf" - the Virginia Beach Artists Galleries annual tribute to rockers ~ surfers ~ and a fund raiser for the Tidewater Autism Society of America.
Here's a peak at the two paintings:

"This instant in time"
Acrylic painting on canvas
12" x 12"

"Dawn Patrol"
Acrylic painting on canvas
12" x 12"

After finishing those, I started to play around with vintage beach photographs. Here are a few which I have just listed in my etsy store - www.magicmarkingsart.com

"Long Boarder"
5" x 7" canvas board
Hand Painted Collage.

"Beach Ball"
5" x 7" canvas board
Hand Painted Collage

"Shake it Up"
5" x 7" canvas board
Hand Painted Collage

Each photo is hand painted ~ cut ~ collaged onto a painted canvas board ~ coated with a glossy finish ~ signed on the front ~ and ready for framing.

There will be more to come in the next few weeks, so keep checking back. And don't forget to mark your calenders for Rock N Surf at the Artists Gallery ~ August 7 - September 5 ~
