Women who Art...Student Spotlight

This weeks featured artist is
~ Susan Bernhardt ~
Follow along as she paints a gorgeous picture of sailboats for her lucky sister.

Susan sketched and started painting this fabulous piece at home, so - as usual with her art work - we were floored by her talent when she brought this canvas into class to paint.

You can see that the yellow ocher used in her under painting offers a lovely glow to the landscape and sailboats.

Her technique and use of color is so soft and beautiful it looks as though she uses the medium of pastels instead of acrylics.

Water in a painting has a wonderful reflective quality, which Susan captured quite nicely.

The painting, finished and ready for her extremely fortunate sister.

Susan, your talent really is inspiring!
